Leading To Where?

As we already know, music has the power to influence. This means that the lyrics of a song can lead you to do things or to go places where you wouldn't go in a normal state of mind.

For instance, if you listen to a romantic song, the lyrics of that song will lead you to feel emotional or very sentimental, whereas if you listen to a song which the lyrics are aggressive you will certainly end up a very violent person.

If you listen to a song that sends out a very promiscuous message, you are running the risk of having wild and dirty thoughts when looking at someone of an opposite sex.

Listen to a fast track while driving and you will undoubtedly go over the speed limit.

Now, if you listen to a song that is inspirational, that talks about salvation, faith, that song will lead you straight to God's presence.

It's simple. All songs come with a built in message.

Where is that message leading you to?

Hi Pastor Luke,

It's true, all songs do come with a built in message. Listening to inspirational songs will definetly lead us towards God's precense and at the same time lead us away from negative or evil thoughts towards someone or something.
Thank You for this message.

Sincerely,
Kenia Rivas

Thanks Pastor for this Message. It's true. & we have to watch out for those kinds of music that leads us to do stuff, that don't have to do nothing with God.

As Bishop Macedo says, when the devil tries to attack us with negative thoughts, singing and worshiping God helps drive away those thoughts.

Your comment about the fast songs while driving is very true. Before I converted, I used to love to speed and listen to the fastest songs as possible. I observed that even rap songs which were not as fast made me drive more aggressively.
We need to be wise to be aware of all that we do and all that can influence us. To the good and the bad.

I like to listen to music with an inspirational message. I want to grow in the presence of God, therefore I am careful of what I hear.

It is True, when I started coming to church I used to listening romantic music, but this made me remember sad moments of my life.
One day I decided not to hear more and I stared to listen gospel music ispiracional to worship God and helped me a lot.

It's amazing how much music can influence us if we don't take control over what we choose to go into our ears! Thanks for the message Pastor!
