One Way or Another, You Pay

It's not a question of IF you will sacrifice, it's a question of WHAT FOR.

Youths right now are sacrificing their health by taking any type of drugs and by drinking.

They are sacrificing their bodies and love life by sleeping around.

They are sacrificing their brains by studying real hard.

They are sacrificing their time when going to night clubs, pubs and when spending time in prison.

They are sacrificing their energy by playing sports.

They are sacrificing their hearts by hoarding feelings like grudges, hatred and anger.

On the other hand, there are others who choose to give their 100% on the altar and sacrifice all that they are and have to God. They know that now is the time. No time to waste. Their youth is precious to God.

As you can see, we are always sacrificing.

Now, do I need to explain the consequence of both ways of sacrificing?

What would I sacrifice for? I was thinking and dreaming about it on my way back home, I can almost see my life shining, and, everything starts with a sacrifice. I am trying to make me think rationally and no emotionally, bacause I have to prepare myself for the ordeal it will be to prepare my sacrifice and, besides, bacause I have seen the results of emotions in my life. But, I am pretty sure about this: as long as I give life, sweat and blood in the making of my sacrifice, if I really put everything of me, there is no chance that God will not answer me. But I have to keep this on my mind. Constantly, and I know that is going to be the very difficult part...

Pastor Luke,
When we sacrifice depending on how we take actions after will we find that we lose or win. We must take action after we sacrifice it will not happen on its own. I also see your point when you say how we sacrifice all the time so why not on God's altar? Thanks.

This is true we are always sacrificing in a way, and we choose who to sacrifice to, either someone who can help us or something that will destroy us more, and sacrificing to God is the only way we can change our situation.

True Pastor. Youths sacrifice their lives to the point of almost losing it and they are not able to sacrifice for God t actually START living a real love.
Very strong what you posted. I hope the youths can weight their sacrifice after reading this.

Mount Sinai is the only way out of the situation we are in right now!
We either grab this opportunity or we keep suffering.
Youth need to stop looking at their condition (because that's the #1 complain I hear around me, "I can't sacrifice because I don't have a job, I have school" and so on and so forth). Let's act our faith if we want changes...

That's so true pastor, I have sometimes when i go out to evangelize youth for the sunday YPG competitions, most youth tell me that they wont be able to go because they gona party all night.... So it's true they could and would do what the world wants them to do but for God they dont even think about it. Sacrifice to me is very important!!! "do I sacrifice? what for?" interestingly, we never ask ourselves that question. We just think about how much we give but never analyze what we're giving ourselves to and for. Reflecting on what you said Pastor, you hit the nail with the hammer...we need to sacrifice to something that will both help us exceed and transform us in every aspect, right on the alter!

I completely agree. Teens do so much sacrificing and most don't take time to do the most important kind...sacrificing for God. When I was a teen, I wanted to focus on God, but I didn't know how. Now that I am 25, I do know how. I have a great church with an awesome youth group and I know God will allow me to help all of them.

Hello Pr Luke!!

I choose to do the sacrifices for the good. I made too many of those sacrifices you mentioned in the past and I truly paid for it!

GREAT POST,
WHAT AND TO WHO WE SACRIFICE IS THAT DETERMINES OU FUTURE! IF WE SACRIFICE OUR LIFE AND FLESHLY DESIRES TO DO GOD'S WILL THEN WE WILL RECEIVE A LIFE OF BLESSINGS. WE CAN NOT WASTE THE STRENGTH HE HAS GIVEN US, WE NEED TO USE IT IN ORDER TO SAVE AS MANY SOULS AS POSSIBLE !!

We are constanly sacrificing: for us, for others, for God. We need to pay more attention to the sacrifices we make and for whom we make such sacrifices.

Sacrifices are done each day, and we reap the results of each one of them. If we want to see our blessing come, then we must sacrifice to something great, our God. No action is done unseen, what we do will always have an after effect.
