We have to be careful what we listen to. Words have power.

This vid and part of Pr Damien's testimony is very strong. Music is a big influence, we really have to filter what we let into our ears because it will influence how we feel, what we think, who we are friends with and more.

Yes its true music is a really big influence. Many people doesn't know what the lyrics means and they are singing....

I had to learn this lesson the hard way; when I was 14 I began listening to soft-punk-alternative rock. Everytime I would listen to them I would feel that the music had some sort of effect on me, so I listen to them more and more... Only to become very disturbed...

When you teach a child with songs, that child might remember that song for years to come. Music reaches a part of our mind that can shape the way we think. I remember that the more I listened to certain lyrics the more those thoughts were part of my everyday life.

That is why I want to make music that makes a difference. A song can reach all corners of the world. It is incredible how music can spread a message.

whoa, music can influence us so much. We have to be very careful what we listen to because that can drive us to do things we might regret later on

I knew that music was extremely influential but never to this degree! Music can influence you for good or for bad. Most of the times its for bad. Its ironic how a simple beat or sound can pump you up and give someone that "temporarily courage" to hit someone! Music is directly linked to emotions.

I remember when I was depressed, the more I heard depressive songs the more I felt like crying and just crawling into a ball in my room and remaining there.

What pains me is how many youth fall under the influence of music. I personally think that music can be a sort of addiction. At least for me leaving heavy metal was really hard...

In my opinion showed a different way of choosing songs that can actually help because sometimes i listen to bad songs but now i see the difference.

This is a very strong message from Pr.Damien , I used to be like that too. When I was mad i'd listen to a certain music , if I was happy i'd listen to a different music so all my emotions all my feelings I'd let it out when listening to music.
If I listened to an agresive song some how soon after the song was over I myself would become agresive though I never knew why , it never came to mind that it was the music I'd listen to.
All this made me an agresive daughter , I never listened to my mother.I would hate my parents even more when I listen to certain music.most of the time I'd spend hours in my room with my earphones playing the whole day.

NOW! I can say I'm free from bad influence but it doesn't mean I don't listen to music because I do!
