You Might Need a Diaper Change

Seriously, let me tell you why.

Kids wear diapers because they can’t control their bodies. Whenever they feel like doing #1 or #2, they just do it. For them, any place is right, anytime okay. They don’t care if they are in bed, the car, someone’s arms, etc.; if they feel like doing it, they will do it.

Only with time do we learn to control our sphincters. Suppose that nature calls when you are in class. Do you do it right then and there? Of course not! That would be shameful! So you hold it, you wait until you can get to the restroom.

You can control your body; you tell it not to even though it’s begging you please (and it does it in a very convincing way).

That’s my point.

Why can’t you also do it when it asks you to have sex out of marriage? Why don’t you tell it not to when it feels like saying hurtful things to someone else? Why can’t you JUST SAY NO when you feel like smoking? And the list goes on: lying, cheating, looking at girls (or guys) in a dirty way, pornography, procrastinating, masturbating, heavy petting, cussing, etc. You body will ask for it, you will feel like it BUT you don’t always have to do what it says.

Doing what you feel like doing it’s almost never the answer. You need to control what you feel, stop any impulse or desire your body has that you know will hurt you, hurt others or drag you away from God. You must discipline yourself.

If you don’t, you are acting just like a baby, with the slight difference that there won’t be anyone to clean after your messes. Mommy can’t do it anymore. You'll be on your own and with dirty pants.

Paul the apostle put it like this: “I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should.” (1 Corinthians 9.27)

So, do you need your diapers changed?

That's What Happens When You Follow Your Heart... - Conclusion

Couple of days ago I posted 3 videos related to James Hooker, a 41 year-old man, a business teacher, who left his wife and kids to be with an 18 year-old by the name of  Jordan Powers, his former student

The story has shocked America.

My point here is not debate the age, which is already laughable, but the eagerness of two people to follow whatever the heart says, ignoring all the possible REASONS why this might not work.

SCORE:  EMOTIONS 100 vs 0 REASON

Once again the word of God has been fulfilled when it says that the heart is DESPERATELY wicked and DECEITFUL above ALL things.

What other proof do you want me to give you that you should NEVER listen to your heart? Do you want me to convince you that listening to your heart won't work? I'm sorry, no time for that.

Do you wanna try it for yourself?

Well, don't be my guest on that one.

This is What Happens When You Follow Your Heart...

Pay attention to the 3 EMOTIONAL (not reasonable) stages these two have been through.

I'll be talking more about it in the next post.

The Enemy Within: The HEART

HEART: It's deceitful above ALL things and desperately wicked, who can know it? - Jr 17:9

I'm not referring to the human heart (organ) but the heart which is the center of all emotions.

Let me enlighten you:

If you get angry at someone your heart immediately begins to beat fast. But, on the other hand, if someone is mean to you your heart quickly invites you to keep a grudge. And every time you remember that incident you feel a sharp pain in your chest.

I tell you more, if somebody yells at you and is rude to you your human instinct is to slap that person across the face.

These are few examples of what people can do once under the influence of their emotions, which are all sponsored and provided by the heart.

The video below will help understand it better. It's just one example among many others.

Watch carefully, draw some lessons and wait until the next post to find out how you can guard yourself against your heart. Remember, he'll always be there.

Beatz & Barz - True Role Models?

Last Sunday we just concluded the Beatz & Barz topic, which took us 3 weeks to discuss and ponder very well on what goes in to our ears.

It's been an eye opener for many. Reading the lyrics on the big church screen made us understand how the devil works through most artists in order to spread his venom.

Those lyrics are like spells that end up dictating the way many young people live their lives.

The devil needs to voice his opinion. He needs a mouth to speak out his mind. And how could he do that unless he uses an 'instrument' that can do such think, someone or something that has the power to express himself, like us, humans?

Animals can't do that. We're the only option. And make no mistake, his intent is to corrupt everything God created.

And that's why he uses music. Music was God's creation. The cherubs worship Him in the heavens daily. Lucifer was one of them. He knows how powerful music is and how it can influence people.

Just like God uses a person who is filled with His Holy Spirit to do wonders in this world the devil also uses people to express himself. And what better way to do that than music?

Observe how nowadays certain artists raise to glory in couple of weeks? For example, Lady Gaga. Who was this woman a year ago? She wasn't known to many. Now she's won more statuettes than many other singers who have been around for a long time.

Why? How? Simple. The devil needs to spread his poison as quick as possible for he knows that Jesus return is at hand.

Oh please, don't tell me she's a good role model... Wake up my friend! Pay attention to her song lyrics.

She is one among hundreds of bad role models. Every time you listen to their music you're actually drinking (filling your mind) of their spirit (ideas).

Most singers release couple of nice songs in order to make them look good. You say that you don't do what the lyrics of a particular song suggests, but then why listen to them? It's like you agree to those disgusting words.

Choose what you listen to carefully. We're not saying you should stop listening to music. We're just advising you to be careful to what goes in to your brain.
