The core message of this movie is the choice the students made.
They were a bunch problematic, underachiever students who had failed too many times.
But the teacher, played by Hillary Swank, proposed a change.
They'd have to either accept it or not.
And they did accept it.
It wasn't that simple nevertheless.
They had to make an effort and stick to her proposal.
And that's the key message. They CHOSE to do what they perhaps never did before.
They met her half way. She couldn't do it all for them.
And because of that simple DECISION, they turned from negative to positive statistic.
How about you? What do you choose? To blame everyone else and be the same or make a difference?

Loved the message because it is True it all comes down to the decisions we make.
Very true every decision we make we are going to see the results later on. Just like in the movie those youths they made a decision to change and their result was that they were able to graduate and go to college.
It's true with one decision the changed there lifestyle. It's just like with God and the devil we have to have a decision on who we want God or the devil good or bad
Yes It's simple to make a decision but you have to stick to what you want most of the people can't make a simple decision because they're indifine
Yes, is just like ourselves God gives us an opportunity to change he shows us how, gives us the tools and then let us decide what to do,but like you said it takes SACRIFICE and guts to stick to it and obstacles will come.
